BBP = Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control
The “webinar” option is a pre-scheduled webinar that is presented live through Zoom (phone, tablet, or desktop) and lasts 2.5 to 3.25 hours depending on the role of the attendee.
Webinars include specimen handling and transportation Best Practice Standards, HIPAA compliance, proper equipment including what kind of coolers and spill kits to use, how to maintain specimen integrity, exposure control and how to use a spill kit.
The “webinar” option is a pre-scheduled webinar that is presented live through Zoom (phone, tablet, or desktop) and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Annual recertification is required by OSHA/Best Practice Standards and lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
A variety of time slots are available throughout each month including some Saturdays to accommodate all time zones!

Specimen Handling and Transportation for first-time students
CourseThis course includes Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) regulations based on OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 and HIPAA Best Practice Standards. It is driver-specific and for students who have never taken this course previously. It is approximately 3 hours in length.
Specimen Handling & Transportation Recertification 2026
CourseThis class is for obtaining recertification that includes Bloodborne Pathogen (OSHA/Best Practice Standards) and HIPAA. You should have previously taken our First-time Student course. Approx 1.5 to 2 hours in length.
